Blog post not published still displays on home page

I am going through the tutorials blog.

I have created my own web site and started building the home page.

I wanted to see what happens when there are no blog posts to dislpay.

I went to the blog posts and made the one and only post there: published - no.

Went to my site, refreshed the home page, and I still see a link to this unpublished post.

Shouldn't this post be gone if it is unpublished?

Oh duh, just read that I see it because I am logged to fuel.

Ok, now I'm going to try do display No post availabe instead of the 404 page.

Ok, I don't know what changed now, but even when I'm not logged in I still see the blog's post, although it is unpublished.

What is going on?
