Change image preview_path

Trying to use this: http://docs.getfuelcms.com/general/forms#file
i did setup up the "preview_path" parameter, without any result.

This is my config:
$fields['image'] = array('type' => 'file', 'required' => FALSE, "label"=>"Imagen","hide_options" =>TRUE,"folder"=>"images/articles","preview_path"=>base_url()."showImage" );

When you say no result, what do you mean? Is there a link on the image and if so, where is it going?
