Manipulate Site Variable before output to page
From within the cms editor Is it possible to manipulate or run a specific function on a site variable before outputting it to the page?
The scenario:
I have telephone numbers stored in site variables which is okay for paragraph text, but if I want to output the telephone into as an anchor and set href="tel:01234 567890" I first need to remove any special characters e.g. spaces/brackets in order to support Safari.
