Not Found message when install fuelcms

hi

i install this cms and when open the root its see me this error

The requested URL /kam/fuel/start was not found on this server.

    Is "kam" the sub folder on your webserver in which you installed FUEL. Does kam/index.php/fuel/start work. If so, it may be an issue with .htaccess not being enabled.
