link field type modal dropdown issues

I'm using FUEL 1.0 and have an admin form with a link|url field in it. When I click the select button it opens the modal fine but if I try to open the dropdown in the modal it closes itself immeadiately unless I click-and-hold the mouse. Is this a common issue or could it be some javascript or CSS of mine that's borked it?
