The way I'm currently keeping files updated is to simply replace old files... is there an automated way to do this by any chance?

..I'd also like to add that simply replacing old files doesn't always work out so well! I was using 1.0 version from 3/4 months ago and replaced it with the current one and broke something along the way..

The best way is to use GIT and set it up as a remote repository to pull from. Are you familiar with using GIT and setting up remote repos?
