Default menu name

For some reason my pages that I create will not generate menu entries within the actual menu editor on the admin panel. It puts it on the actual navigation bar but I have no way of removing it or seeing it within the admin panel. I tried deleting the menu so I was wondering, if there is a default menu what is it named?
